Northern Serenity & Flow
Where the River Flows and Time Slows Down – A Women's Retreat in Northern Lapland
Welcome to Karigasniemi, a peaceful corner of northern Lapland on the border of Finland and Norway, where the River Inari flows quietly through the landscape and nature invites you to move at a slower pace. Surrounded by the colours of late autumn and crisp fresh air, this is a perfect place and moment for rest.
This retreat is an invitation to spend a few days in nature, by River Inari in cosy log cabins, enjoying gentle movement, relaxation and meaningful conversations. As the landscape begins to shift from autumn colours toward the first signs of winter, we create space for reflection, connection, and fresh perspectives.
During our time together, we will gather around the fire, spend time by the water, listen to the steady beat of the drum and the calming sounds of singing bowls, and explore simple practices that support wellbeing and presence. Forest walks, breathwork, meditation, sauna, and quiet moments in nature all become part of the experience.
Come as you are in a supportive and welcoming environment. There is nothing to achieve and nowhere to rush.

1.-4. Oct

Program
In Lapland October is a month where we can admire the last colours of Autumn and where nature begins its slow shift towards winter stillness. The nights are dark, offering a chance to see the night sky and, with a bit of luck, the Northern Lights. The days are cool, crisp, and full of fresh northern air.
Our time together is shaped by nature and the rhythm of the program, with the schedule gently adapting to the weather and changing conditions. We spend time outdoors, gather in shared circles, and move through breath, sound and presence. Some excercises include energy work to assist and support us in connecting with nature and ourselves.
The retreat offers:
Touch and self-compassion
Through a guided life inventory, relaxing visualization, and breathwork, we create space for self-awareness, release, and renewal. These practices support emotional wellbeing, inner balance, and a deeper sense of self-compassion.
Nature Connection Exercises and Grounding
While being outdoors in the forest and by the river, we will practice grounding and opening up our senses to the healing energies of nature. The elements of air, fire, earth, and water will support us during our journey and we will practise been present also for nature.
Gentle Energy Work through meditation and relaxation
Gentle energy work, such as Reiki, is integrated into some of the exercises to support our overall well-being. The soothing sounds and energies of singing bowls help calm the mind and create a deeper sense of balance and inner peace.
Reflection on Resources
What brings you strength and joy? During the retreat, we will delve into identifying our sources of strength and create a resource map that will guide you even after you return home.
Sauna and Refreshing swims in River Inari
In the heart of Lapland's pure nature, you will have the chance to relax in your cabin´s own sauna and dip into the cool water of River Inari– a perfect combination for refreshing both body and mind. The cabins are located by the border river of Finland and Norway.
The Magic of the Silence, Firelight and the Northern Sky
In the evenings, we gather by the fire for open conversations. There is also time to simply be, watch the night sky, and if we are lucky, witness the Northern Lights dancing above the landscape,
Space for Surprises
Not everything can be planned. Throughout the retreat, there will be space for intuition, and whatever naturally wants to emerge within the group. Whether it’s an inspiring conversation, an unexpected moment, or simply extra time to rest and be in nature, we leave room for the magic that often happens when there is no strictly fixed agenda. Sometimes the most meaningful experiences are the ones we never anticipated.
Small, Intimate Group in Cozy Cabins
The retreat takes place in a small, relaxed group where everyone is welcome just as they are. We stay in cosy log cabins at Holiday Village Napakettu, each with a bathroom with shower and ensuite sauna, small firestove for heating, and a fully equipped kitchen. We share daily moments, meals, and experiences in a warm, unhurried, and accepting atmosphere.
This is not a retreat where schedules dictate the flow of the day. Here, you decide whether you want be part of a shared moment, or let the flow of River Inari carry your thoughts in your own peace. You don’t need to know in advance what you need.
